Posted by The Bishop First of all, I can't blame the guy. Every wrestler in the world starts out with the dream of going to the WWE, as it is head and shoulders the largest global wrestling promotion these days. No one thinks, "Wow one day I could draw 2000 fans in a convention centre," they want to headline Wrestlemania! But what will happen once CM Punk's there? Change his name to MC Punk to feud with Cena? And lose. Over and over. Or keep the name and feud with Chavo Guerrero? And lose. I've already gone through weeks of being close to tears from seeing what Paul London was reduced to, and Spanky before him. Why should we believe that their treatment of CM Punk will be any different? Is Triple H REALLY going to allow a guy to be pushed whose finishing move is a top rope pedigree? We're never going to SEE the Pepsi Plunge again, and don't look for another 60 minutes match either. Try 3-15 mins, tops. What kind of psychology can you work in a 3 minute match? We can look at how the WWE treats its talent. Even the talented smaller workers who they do see fit to push, are pushed intermittently, a la Chris Jericho or RVD, and eventually fall into a rut of weekly jobs to up and coming 6 foot 6-ers and have any of their credibility eroded. Maybe I'm being selfish. My wrestling diet is primarily buying up ROH DVDs at an alarming rate. I have no (regular)access to WWE, though I keep up on results and plotlines, and, since I lost access, I don't miss it. Occaisonally I read something on a Velocity report about a London/Chavo Guerrero match (or something) that sounds good, but then I pull out a copy of Road To The ROH Tit;e amd know, that the latter will be much better. I still catch some PPVs and the odd TV episode, but when I do, I'm bored. As I've said before, I don't blame CM Punk for signing. It makes sensfor him personally, financially and professionally. Just not artistically. From a fan's point of view it means one less great wrestler putting on great matches, and one more for the WWE job squad. Maybe I'm wrong. I hope I'm wrong. I hope Punk wins the WWE title and holds it for 23 months! But even if he does, his epic title defences vs Bradshaw and The Big Show aren't going to be Punk/Aries or Punk/Joe. Not by a long shot. As I said, I hope I'm wrong. About everything. CM Punk, I hope you take the WWE by storm and establish yourself as the legend I feel you already are. I hope you can turn the WWE into something I enjoy watching again. If anyone can, it's you. The Bishop

I don't want to be the first to post a negative comment about the Punk/WWE situation but...
