Thanks to all who helped out in Bakersfield before and after the mishap and for the kind words. I am fine, the car is not, I know the car can and WILL be replaced, on the other hand I cant be replaced. So all the time that was put into the car safety wise, paid off. Everything worked as it was designed and allowed me to walk away without a scratch.
For those who were not there, we were in the semi finals, when some where along the run the steering broke and about 1100 feet the car veered out of the groove, from that point the car smacked both guard rails and rolled some before landing wheels down next to the guardrail. The car tripped the lights at 8.46@163.
