Those of you who are able please put this anywhere you think it may be read. If you are part of message boards or groups even if they are not dog related put it there anyway. Maybe even forward it to your e-mail contacts. We need this to reach as many eyes as possible. Thanks in advance!
The VSBA wants to welcome everyone out to our next show on August 1st. We hold monthly shows however, we took July off so we're expecting a huge turnout on August 1st. We have classes for the kids, for adults, working events such as weight pull and treadmill races. We have beginner classes for owners and dogs who are just getting started. Your dog DOES NOT have to be registered to compete. For the 1st time ever we are going to open our weight pull up to all breeds!! We give out great ribbons and amazing trophies. There has never been a club to give as many awards as we do with more than 100 awarded at every show! We have a system set up where you can make your APBT a Champion in the show ring as well as hang time, treadmill racing and weight pull! If you are looking to have your Pit Bull registered we can even help you with that. We have an auction @ every show people bring and donate items for everyone to bid on. From shoestrings to priceless autographs and everything in between, so you could end up bidding on and winning things for way below the actual cost and be helping the club at the same time. When bringing something for the auction remember it does not have to be dog related absolutely anything will do! If we get a great turnout on August 1st then for our 3rd birthday show in September we will have a 2-day show with camping and live entertainment! Concessions are available on site. All non-food vendors are welcomed we just ask for a small donation to our auction. This is a great place to buy American Pit Bull Terrier merchandise or set up and sell some yourself. Some of the top breeders from all over the country attend theses shows on a regular basis. We have members who come from as far away as TX, MI, NY FL and everywhere in between including some of your favorite Tennessee Titans (you may notice Michael Griffin in the pictures with a couple of his awards from June). This is a great spot to meet folks with the same interest in this wonderful breed as you. Our goal is to create a network of dog owners who are willing to stand up and fight for our breed. We have been successful in stopping BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) in Tn and surrounding states including a bill introduced last year aiming to completely ban this breed in the state of TN. Very few people were even aware it was being considered. This is why it is so important to stick together. So bring the family and become part of the Volunteer State Bulldogger Association. A good time for a good cause!
