Driving thru Girard about 2:45 PM and heard a horn on the B&LE. Turned out to be the 867 running light, southbound. First thought was that the Conneaut Yard engine had worked Emsco --have seen this before.
Driving by Emsco, cars that were there yesterday had not been moved, as apparent by a tagged car that made ID easy.
At Wallace, there was what appeared to be some sort of an inspection car with an open platform at the south (west) end. Could not get close enough for a better description.
Also usual was an NS unit (2731) sitting on a different track, about in the middle of the yard.
Am speculating that the car was being moved from the Bessemer to NS. Drove by about an hour later, and nothing had moved.
One car and one unit doesn't sound like much, but for Wallace, it's high density traffic!
Was nice to see the '38 on the branch. Will post some photos later or tomorrow on the Pro Board.
Can anyone add any info to this?
