Lets see... We had Shenango in Sharpsville, Pa that made ingot molds. They were purchased from the owners by the employees when the owners realized the market was disappearing. Lost moneyband closed, eventually sold plant for scrap and then it was discovered that there was a pile of ore that had sat there for decades that was worth like a million dollars or such. Also, there was Valley Mould in Hubbard, Oh which also made ingot moulds, I think they were sold and became Elwood Engineered Products, but if they are still around I dont think they make moulds anymore. Can you say continious caster....unless we are going to ship ingots from the US to the rest of the world...which I doubt.
