B&LE caboose 1966 sits near Irvin Works I’m not going to say exactly where-however if you look near the B yard at Irvin and the mainline to Clairton you’ll find them in satellite /aerial views. It is coupled to URR C-1006 and they’ve been there for a long time-about two years ago I got the chance to see both of them. I took pictures of the inside and outside of both cars. Bessemer 1966 is holding up very well considering its been around for over 70 years-of course the paint if flaking off windows are busted out and graffiti on both cars but overall the 1966 is still in one piece. The C-1006 is in bad shape-the steps on one end on each side are tore off- the steps on the opposite end are bent up and the car looks like it had part of its bay window replaced (must have been in a wreck), the wood floor is rotting away inside with the other bay window, and the air cylinder under the car is cracked in half.
I know the URR had C-106, but I haven’t seen it in many years. Maybe they got rid or it or keep it somewhere like they do with the C-1006/B&LE 1966. If you want to see it, there is a video online of a URR empty coke train with two cabooses with one of them being C-106.
