Likely if it was there are boiler issues that literally cost 10s or 100s of thousands of dollars to rectify. That and lawyers and insurance cost have ended most steam excurions.
We have a battle going on here about our 7 1/2" gauge railroad club in the town park being able tomrun and haul the local parents and kids. The state shut them down because they said that it was an amusement and therefore had to follow all sorts of tte regulations including being totally fenced in. Nuts! But that is the out of control government these days.
The Southern 630 came through town the other day...steaming but with two diesels in tow doing the work. Running the employee excursions here in he Charlotte, NC area.
