Guys, I hate to drag up a topic discussed last month, but it has been bothering me. With all due respect to Mr. Beaver (and whoever he had as personal and professional consultants), I can't help but wonder if the orange and black of our beloved Bessemer really is drawn from the original Genesee & Wyoming Railroad. It had Alcos in the 40's that were (I believe) painted orange and black, complete even with nose wings (even if on long hoods). This was way before these colors, in a somewhat similar scheme, appeared in Greenville or Conneaut. Just a thought.
