Really interesting with the tubes. The Bessemer was quite the innovator back in the day. A lot of plants and railroads that idle EMD's for extended periods and never really "blow them out" have that issue to this day, and I have never seen anything like that.
-urr566, have you seen #25 lately? That is/was the one on lease to ET while ET-2 was at Hall being repaired from the collision. WOW! I think it idled for 3 weeks straight, and it made a nice mess on its hood. It looks like a black P&LE MP-15 now.
