Its not B&LE running low, or a problem at Conneaut. For better blast furnace throughput, the ore pellets are being screened at Conneaut. This removes fines that can choke the wind in a blast furnace, and reduce its throughput. When business plans were put together last year, the screening move was yet decided. Also, ET has been out producing the production plan, taking advantage of spot market orders. That's why the supplemental trains were ordered. Look for some more offline ore moves on the BLE as enough screened pellets accumulate at Conneaut. The fines will likely go by rail to the sintering plant at Gary Works.
