I'm with you, Todd! Seeing an orange train of these prototype cars wrapped around the curves up by Shermansville or Meadville Junction behind orange and black engines must have been even more impressive than the R.J. Corman Railroad Company of Pennsylvania's contemporary "Big Red Train" of open-top captive shuttle hoppers:
