I dont have any X2200S info sorry. Im lost on the stenciling. Might have to do with different maintence practices between the BLE owned SD9s and the leased by BLE SD9s. Just a guess on my part. Reason i say that- remember the BLE DMIR and EJE all swapped SD38-2s in the 80s to try different maintence practices on them. Since the BLE 821-825 came first mabe they were trying different stuff on their second and third batch of 9s. 821-825 also never ran with their steel plates under the frame(from what ive seen)while the later ones did mabe that has something to do with it too. Kind of makes sense but im probably not even close...
