This time last year AK was getting scrap of the B&LE again and Ive noticed a few scrap moves again. Not sure how long this will last. As to why the 2001 was down at AK is anybodys guess. They may have had a box car like you said, but I did see a box up in Greenville a few weeks back so maybe it was released and they ran to get it, or possibly they took ore south and would pick up the 2001 on the way back.
Get a new bike for spring?
