Is it common now for 2001 to sit with a cut of scrap cars down at AK for extended periods? I saw it sitting there when I was at Zanotti's on Saturday. No power was in sight for over an hour. Only other thing I could think was they shoved down, than ran a car down to River Valley and were gone in the time frame I was there.
Haven't been up to Butler Yard lately, I heard a while back that they were doing some track and switch removals. Will be interesting to see if they keep 12 and 13, the two long tracks extending south toward Butler Transfer, and for how long.
SD-9 #833, which often served as relief for 831 at Butler Yard, switches Shawmut Coal at Butler Yard in my memories and in anti-span land.
