Don’t get me wrong I am 100% behind cleaning up the environment, we only have one planet and I think we can all agree that we need to keep her in the best possible shape that we can since to the best of our knowledge there isn’t a second option. With that said the rash moves of the EPA boggle my mind. As soon as our economy starts to show signs of improvement we make another move that makes it just that more difficult for American based industry to compete. With all these plants closing the cost of electricity will go up. Passing the bill onto the consumer you me and the small factory down the road. And while this is going on a new member of the global economy is building new coal fired power plants every day… Nope not China they have slowed down just slightly, its India… Export coal hit its highest level last year and Ill assure you the mine supplying coal to this plant will shift its sales to an oversea customer with this news. We can continue to clean up out act, but all the smokes stacks in the world go into the same sky. As the middle class shrinks I guess we can all choke to death on India, Korea, and Chinas smog together as one poor underemployed nation…….. I’m still waiting on all those clean energy jobs to come to the rust belt.
Sorry for the rant.
