It would make sense for CN to put GPS in all their B&LE sub engines. The line is small and it probably would not take much to get rid of the signal system and go to a positive train control system style that NS is trying to go to by 2015. No wayside signals, just signals in the cab on a computer display. NS has made the pitch that if they get the system to be like a Garmin GPS that their will be no need for wayside signals. If there are no wayside signals then signal territories can be lengthened and signal jobs cut.
