The PoO causes embarrasment

Well, I am still puzzeled why he just didn't simply said:
" camarón que se duerme, se lo lleva la corriente

but had the very last word replaced....
I mean, even for person who doesn't understand much Spanish (me ) I still can understand that corriente is about the same thing as 'current' in english. Makes sense !!

So, why making it difficult on himself and replacing it by an Argentinean word?
