In politics, as with marriage, the real arguing is rarely abouting the immediate topic. I venture that the gripe is about the fact that the PoO and his wife can afford the luxury in the first place, in addition to other foreign abodes. The fact that one of the richest men in The Netherlands is involved just adds grease to the fire.
