Thanks. Fascinating to read. My grandfather taught school in Nieuwdorp.
Zeeland Blog also has the announcement (Dutch) - nearly word for word of JH's text - of the opening and an interesting linked YouTube video from "Cineac Oud Sabbinge," about what happened during Liberation around Oud Sabbinge, a few km from Wolphaartsdijk, where my uncle was the village doctor!
