The Princess will open the museum at Nieuwdorp,municipality of Borssele,tomorrow friday october 30th.
The Battle of the Schelde is at the center of the museum.This forgotten battle,which took place between
september and november 1944,had large parts of Walcheren inundated at the cost of a great many casualties,
both military and civilians.
The battle was a key to the liberation of The Netherlands and the end of WWII.
The Princess will open the museum as it is now 65 years ago that the province of Zeeland was liberated.
TE the ambassadors of Canada,Great Britain,Norway and France as well as veterans will be in attendance.
