Small exhibition on the first princess of Belgium, Princess Charlotte, later Empress of Mexico at Hof van Melijn in Tervuren.
It seems as not much publicity has been made about it.
Had a very nice visit last Saturday in the company of the French author Dominique Paoli, estimated for her knowledge about the European monarchies. Her latest book, only in French so far, deals with Empress Charlotte, entitled "L'Impératrice Charlotte: Le soleil noir de la mélancholie"
Dominique Paoli had a lecture about the early life of Princess Charlotte of Belgium until the tragedies at the Hof van Melijn in Tervuren and following her story at the Castle of Bouchout in Meise where Charlotte lived almost the last fifty years of her life, dying there on 19 January 1927.
