Aha...so it is all the fault of the mésaillance Maxima and can not be the fault (or the stubbornness) of the born royal Prince Willem-Alexander?
Sorry Henri, but stubbornness reigns in the royal family. Queen Beatrix is known for it and there have been several examples of the prince not exactly listening to his advisors (including the PM Kok) when he, prematurely, asked Princess Maxima to marry him before he was sure parliament would approve. Which caused many people many sleepless nights in political The Hague.
I am sure Princess Maxima being heavily involved in the project, after all, the developer is from Argentina and he has been living in New York for over ten years. So indeed a big chance that Maxima already knew him and perhaps it was her idea. But the prince not backing down no..I think that is a mutual decision by a prince who has the stubborn-genes from both his mother and maternal grandparents and a princess who enjoys her luxurious life-style and probably never included the need for public support in the equation.

: We don't know. My own impression is that the

: My guess is as worth as much as yours.
