Nothing new under the son. Damals even a fraction leader of Labour (Jonkheer Van der Goes van Naters) wrote a letter in which he urgently warned for disasters when Princess Beatrix would ever come on the throne.
I have just seen a reprise of 'Andere Tijden' about the Lockheed Affair (digital channel politiek24) and all this is really nothing compared to that. In essence it is about a holiday house, no more, no less, but it is all blown out to mega proportions.
Very sad for the Prince and Princess because indeed no one can claim they did something wrong at all. The symbolic idea of building a house in a luxe resort while there is a crisis is most unlucky.
But really, when the dot comes to the i, there is little but nothing except a welcome opportunity to empty containers of vomit on the Prince and Princess, helped by an eager and omnipresent media, online papers and countless weblogs.
