AMSTERDAM - The reports about the planned holiday estate of Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima will be strictly controlled. Besides the State Information Service (RVD) now three other spokespersons will canalize all publicity surrounding the project on the peninsula Machangulo in Mozambique.
Communications adviseur Mr Frans van der Grint from the renowned agency Hill & Knowlton has been appointed as spokesman for the Machangulo Trust Office, which was created last summer to represent the business interests of the Prince in the Machangulo project. "Given the great interest and the many questions from the media, the Machangulo Trust Office thought it was wise to appoint a new communications adviser" so stated Mr Van der Grinten.
Besides the project the Trust also has its own spokesman in Mozambique. It is also envisaged that in the Netherlands a colleague will become responsible for the contacts with the media.
The State Information Service will continue to act as the spokesperson for the Prince himself.
Recently many parties in the Second Chamber have responded critically about the plans of the princely couple to participate in the Machangulo project. The Federation of Orange Unions even made an appeal to the princely couple to withdraw from the luxury resort. According to a poll by TNS Nipo the affair has contributed to a decrease in sympathy for the Oranges (37% down).

I don't understand why the Prince and Princess do not end their participation. When it has come this far, that you need to pay three spokespersons (besides the RVD) to manage your holiday retreat.....
