Better late than never: congratulations to Prince Laurent Benoît Boudewijn Marie of Belgium today (born 1963).
Not so fortunate days for the prince whose KINT had to stop its activities due to a drastic decrease of subsidees and two of his real estate companies show deficit...
For the balance: I hope he is happy and enjoying his lovely wife and kids!
In the Belgian free magazine Metro he was referred to in a list of 19 October birthdays today as "Laurent Van België, Belgian prince", which, of course, is his surname (which he also mentioned when he had to testify in court). I wonder is this "Van" indeed with capital "V" or undercast "v" (both are possible in Belgium, although Van with capital V is more usual. Van is never written with capital V in Belgium's Northern neighbour The Netherlands in the combination first name/initials + surname).
Kind regards,
Joris van den W*.
