In this NOS TV news bulletin (yesterday evening; at the end of the programme) I heard about a Taiwanese princess with Dutch blood running through her veins. It was also mentioned how a group of Taiwanese people have Dutch traits in their faces (descendants of mixed marriages of Taiwanese women and Dutch East India Company employees).
I wonder what's the name of this princess who does a lot of good work in a time when Taiwan suffers from landslides and other natural catastrophes. And what would be the cause of her having Dutch blood as well. (A Taiwanese princess having a relationship with a handsome Dutchman?)
Any further information I would welcome.
It would be interesting to study possible other royal connections with VOC Dutchmen in f.i. Indonesia and other former Dutch colonies.
