I don't think trading the Mozambique property for one in Tanzania will help much. The main issues, corruption, distance, costs of security all remain or might even increase. Just renting a property for the couple of weeks they take their daughters for a safari might be a better solution.
As for the KLM flights. It's fine if KLM fits the bill for those flights (the company is free to do as it wishes) but if the taxpayer is to pay for the private flights of Royals than it's Parliament who decides. If Maurits had kept his job there he and his wife and kids would have had the normal discount for the airline's employes.

: I was thinking,instead of the illfated
: Mozambique project,wouldn't it be a great
: idea to purchase the estate
: of his paternal grandparents where the late
: Prince Claus spend such a happy childhood in
: Tanzania?
: I would really fully support such a move.
:
: On flights. All members of the RF always fly
: for free with our national carrier KLM ever
: since it was founded,
: 90 years ago, making it the oldest scheduled
: airline in the world btw, that will not
: change.Courtesy KLM it
: will not be dictated by the vox populi and
: the fools of the day.The airline isn't run
: that way either.Nor the RF.

: Norway or Belgium have faced / are facing
: similar negative reactions, so it is a
: widespread negativism which not only affects
: monarchies but all states.
:
: Sarkozy is under fire in France. Gordon
: Brown can do nothing good anymore in
: Britain. Even megastar Obama is, only nine
: months in office, already under heavy
: erosion.
:
: These extremes are something of this time.
: Was Obama inaugurated in January, with great
: enthusiasm, nine months later much of his
: popularity has gone. Was the whole nation
: full of compassion and united behind the
: Queen and the royal family after the tragic
: Queen's Day, half a year later the same
: family faces heavy criticism.
:
: But it is easy criticism with relatively
: easy solutions: stop the Machangulo project,
: end the privilège of private flights at the
: costs of taxpayers and maintain the private
: sailyacht at the own private expenses.
: Ready.
:
: It is not that difficult to take away the
: sources of irritation.
