Is that 'privilège du blanc' connected to the personal faith of a queen (like in your example of the future Queen Máxima) or isn't it connected with the house's faith (e.g. the Catholic Archhouse Habsburg)? Could a Queen of a non catholic house really wear white in front of HH The Pope when she (and only she) is catholic?
