Yes, I think so. The sunglasses simply ruin her look (a vacuumed face).
But I had the same irritation when Princess Máxima was interviewed in NY by that half-boiled egg Jeroen Snel. She responded while wearing sunglasses.
I was raised with the idea that it is most unpolite to talk to people when your eyes are covered.
