Well abolishing the monarchy is not something the Royals can do on their own, that has to come for the legislating part of the kingdom.
But the Royal House and the courtiers can do quite a lot to prevent this unpleasant situation from spiralling out of control.

: You forgot one:
:
: * Abolish the monarchy alltogether.

: Im afraid neither the queen nor the prince
: of
: Orange are very comfortable with camera's
: around them so such a documentary would
: stress their unease with the media even
: more.
: I do think a few things could be done:
: * HM could start to pay for the upkeep of
: her own yacht (the worth of it is 200.000
: euro's so how they managed to bill the
: upkeep for 300.000 euro's i really don't
: know).
: * the Prince of Orange could sell his
: Mozambique and Argintine homes and opt for a
: house on Bonaire (or another Carabean part
: of the kingdom).
: * the Prince of Orange and his wife could
: start to pay for their private travels so
: only leaving the transport of the monarch
: for the state.
: * the Prince and Princess could lay down
: their international jobs to start working
: fulltime in representing the kingdom (the
: only positive press they got recently was
: the trip to NY for the Hudson-celebrations).
: * HM needs to work on her relationship with
: the PM. Too many rumours about them not
: getting on are circulating and that doesn't
: help the monarchy.
: * HM has to aply the clear distinction she
: makes between public role and private person
: also to the members of her family.
: * HM and the Prince of Orange should take
: notes on how to deal with the media from
: Laurentien, Margriet, Pieter, Maurits,
: Marilene and Constantijn.

: What would you suggest the Court to do?
