Sometimes not 100% consistent, but lets say 80% consistent. I guess they leave out the -Nassau part, because there are hardly any Dutch family names with a hyphen. And Van Oranje-Nassau, van Vollenhoven just sounds too posh. People would 
if they would see the comma (I bet we, royalty watchers and the royals themselves, that know about that comma).
