And Premier Lubbers as well Premier Kok did not face populists who see all the media focused on them when they bark loud in the Chamber.
In their days the debate on the Budget of the Department of General Affairs (which includes the House of the Queen) was a 'hammer piece' and saw an empty Chamber with a handful 'specialists' discussing the matter in a forgotten hour of the day.
To the defence of the Premier (and yes, also my patience with him is flowing away) I already stated that the Oranges seem not very aware or can replace themselves in possible constitutional situations.
Now the ghost has escaped the bottle, to use a Dutch saying. I predict that from now on year after year we will have irritating debates about the Royal House, culminating in a debate about the costs for the Investiture of the new King.
