It is hard to see. Huge scaffoldings and just a little blonde spot on the grey walls.
But indeed, if the whole palace will get that colour again, the beauty of Master Jacob van Campen's creation will be visible again.
On the pic below you see that the Damrak was still open (the waterway has been filled for the construction of the Amsterdam Exchange, the Berlage Building and the Bijenkorf department store). Since then it is difficult to see why Dam Square has that name because the water has disappeared.
