I'm not changing Juliana at all. I think she is simply back to her human proportions with all her fine and less fine characteristics. By the way, there are dozens of versions of the Bible and each of them has a different wording.
The widespread misconception is that Queen Juliana, as a humble person, asked herself who she is that she might do this. But this is a bit nonsense as no one was more deeply aware of the high office which was awaiting her, as Juliana, the only Heir to the throne.
Queen Juliana parafrased the biblical King David. The same phrase also comes pack in Wisdom when Nathan the Prophet and Zadok the Priest anoint King Salomon. This very same theme is a standard music for British coronations (Händel).
Here Queen Juliana is given an aura of holiness and humbliness by pretending as if she wrote these touching words, while she was only quoting the Bible. For the attendants in 1948, brought up in 'de tale Kanaäns' this was crystalclear.
