: *We had strung a fishing net across the stream, just before dawn, and now I start hauling it ashore.*

: *The net is heavy with fish, but few of them are keepers, I wind up knee deep in the stream, tossing the smaller fish and reptiles from the net.*

: *Ultimately I only keep 4 of the biggest fish. I toss the net and the fish to shore, then spread out the net to dry. I use a hatchet to behead each fish in turn, tossing the heads, one by one, into the stream, to feed the smaller fishies.*

PantherClaw Taluna Lair
--in the jungle Northeast of the Exchange Point--
to ALL
: *I take the 4 fish and a cutting board across the village and into the jungle to the north. I will gut the fish near some of the birds' nests I have been cultivating, and leave the etrails for birdfood. Rearing a clutch of eggs is the hardest thing a pair of birds does, and if I make it easier for the birds I like, they'll outcompete and outreproduce the birds I don't like.*

PantherClaw Taluna Lair
--in a jungle clearing ringed by abandoned huts--
to ALL
: *When I return to the clearing, I notice an odd look in the sky. It's overcast, but not our usual clouds. Usually, our weather has come from the east or the west, rain from the jungle or from the sea. But today it's very cool, with the wind from the mountains in the south bringing in very low clouds. The usual rain is towering thunderheads unleashing downpours, but this looks more like a fog drifting down from the peaks towards the foothills.*
