Complicated - as usual what isn't in this "journey" but I am okay - and thank you so much for asking
Ha the word "Journey" is getting so OLD! Sometimes I wish I never assimilated to it.
--Previous Message-- : what happened? are you ok? : : --Previous Message-- : that is the PROBLEM!!! : : We all think that we are JUMPING - TO FALL! : : When just maybe we should be thinking of the : leap of faith - to jump to a BETTER PLACE - : A HIGHER PLACE - : : Like jumping from Stone to Stone over a : river bed. Fall in the water and you feel : you have failed, but dip the toe, or drag a : foot, but still maintain your balance : somehow (your sanity). : : But sometimes you find yourself a little : upstream from where you were - you have the : courage - but your foot is most definitely : wet. Now what do you do. Wait for the foot : to be dry? You now know you are at greater : risk of slipping off the next stone as you : land, that next step to get you closer to : the other side - to get you to higher : ground. : : I slipped today. And now I stand on a my : stone with a river of tears to add to the : current that is before me...how many stones : must we drum the courage to jump to before : the torrent below us is finally over. And we : can sit on the bank looking back at the fear : of it all. : : : Ironically: : : The river is but one foot deep with a : current that cools the ankles on a hot day, : but may give you a stink of icy cold reality : on a beautiful fall day. But when the : reality from the stink fills you with such : joy and peace - how can you not possibly : take that leap of faith to get to the other : side..... : : I search in desperation to find a rock close : enough for me to jump to. That brings me : closer to her and yet further from him. I : ask how wide is this river I must cross. How : long must I wait for a stone to roll within : reach. That will give me sturdy footing to : leap to the shore of happiness. : : --Previous Message-- : You wrote: : : I know I can't be pushed. I have to do it : myself, I have to jump. But seriously, how : do you? How do you step from firm ground : into mid-air ? : : I will tell you what many wise AJers told me : when I posed that very same question almost : a year ago. : : You will jump when you are tired of sitting : on the precipice. When the 'neither here nor : there' gets the best of you. When the : waiting gets old. When you are tired of : being 'stuck'. : : It's okay to jump. Really, it is. You will : survive the fall and the landing and so will : those around you. : : : : : :
