I got on this roller coaster ride 2 years ago.
My life has completely changed.
I didn't see it coming.
I wouldn't change things...maybe a few tweaks here and there.
Joanne's book and workshop were lifesavers.
I thank God every day.
I work on relationships every day.
I don't participate here as regularly as I once did, but when I check in, I am constantly amazed at the steady stream of new names...the never-ending stream of women who have found themselves on the same ride. How did we all get here? Two years ago, I thought I was the ONLY 50 year old woman on the planet to have this happen. The affirmation that I feel by reading here is overwhelming.
All I can say is...there is life after the storm.
The roller coaster ride continues because that is life...but the clouds part and the sun shines and everyone survives and life goes on.
If you're here...you're life HAS changed. What you do about it is up to you but the fact is...something has happened to rock your world. You can try to ignore it, continue on as if it didn't happen, hide it from everyone and continue to wonder what might have been. Good luck...
If you chose to move on...and make changes....and follow your heart...and do it with love and compassion for all...just know that the world doesn't come to an end. The sun still rises and the seasons change...children grow and babies are born. Good luck to you, too.
Just feelin' philosophical today.....
