This is the hardest thing I've done in my life, Dolce, next to leaving an abusive spouse years ago. This new information has forced me to question everything I thought I knew about myself. I hope you can "slip into this being gay thing" because it's like waking up on hot coals for me.

: For many here it seems that “coming out” is an
: event of a lifetime….it is a sigh, a relief,
: confirming. It is finding one’s authentic
: self and finally living truthfully after
: years of struggle.
:
: But I wonder, are there others of you who
: have morphed het to gay with much less
: fanfare. Has anyone found the change to
: being with a woman so natural that it is
: less like having crossed a shark-infested
: moat for the blue ribbon and more like
: changing lanes on a hwy in the middle of the
: desert? Now, I don’t mean in any way that
: there is a lack of excitement or love and
: happiness, only that it doesn’t feel either
: extremely weird-strange or like an “ah-ha I
: know myself now” moment, which if you’ve
: been het. all your life you think you might
: feel. Can one really slip into this being
: gay thing that easily..shouldn’t it be much
: more complicated…and if it’s this easy, can
: anyone do it or is this a supreme
: affirmation of gayness? Just wonder if
: everyone is capable of loving another woman
: if they just opened themselves up to it.
: What do straight women think about it?
: Ponder ponder.
