I'm sorry to hear about the loss in your family. My son had a very mild case of H1N1 a couple of weeks ago. He ran a low-grade fever on and off for a few days and was very fatigued. But that was about all he experienced. H1N1, like the seasonal flu, can be so all over the board it's hard to tell what one person may experience vs another.

: We just received a phone call last night that
: my brother-in-law's mom passed away from
: H1N1 complications. She had the flu for
: just one week, started having difficulty
: breathing this past Sunday, went into the
: doctor on Monday morning, he sent her to the
: ER right away, and she progressively got
: worse over the next several hours. A VERY
: rapid descent. She died at 7:15 p.m. that
: same day. My niece and nephews were so
: close to her, so they are going to have a
: really hard time with the loss. We'll
: probably be going to the funeral in a few
: days. But, now I'm worried about H1N1
: exposure to my kids. The cousins will
: surely hang out together, and my kids have
: not been able to get vaccinated yet. I
: called our ped to see what she thinks. I am
: SURE I am just being overly cautious and a
: bit paranoid, but when a healthy person dies
: in your family it's just so hard to not
: think it could happen to you. Know what I
: mean? Sigh.
:
: I've heard of so many people dying from this
: on the news, but it feels so sad when it
: happens closer to home. :-(

: Sassy
