I met my gf after I had been separated from my H (in-home separation) for about six months. She and I had been 'aware' of each other for about 1.5 years at that point - but had never really spoken.
We were introduced by a mutual friend on a Monday night. I saw her at work the following day and we ended up spontaneously hanging out for about six hours. The next day we went out for drinks. Then we hung out again on Friday. Then again Saturday. Then again Sunday. By that Tuesday I knew I had a major crush on her... we had been out having a couple of drinks. It was about 4:00 in the morning - and I worked up the courage to tell her that I wanted to kiss her. She leaped from the car saying she had to go to the bathroom. I was mortified and we made plans to talk that Friday night. I assumed she was going to tell me she was not interested... but dinner led to drinks which led to dancing which led to kissing. We now joke that we got 'breaking-up' out of the way... so now we can just happily date. We started officially dating a week after that. That was almost 1.5 years ago.
We moved into our new apartment this past May.

: Hey All -
: I'm pretty new here and I am really
: enjoying what people write. It blows me
: away. One of the things that interests me
: most is how this phenomenon of falling in
: love with a woman happened to you all. I'm
: still pretty disoriented and confused and
: fuzzy about the whole thing. But I'm
: interested, too. Intrigued. I would love
: to hear some stories about how you came to
: be on this website (which, I assume means
: that you are, or were, married to a man, and
: now are in love with a woman)
: How did you meet the woman you love? How
: did the relationship develop? Was she gay
: or straight (or both?) How long before you
: told her your feelings for her? How did she
: take it? I would love to hear some stories
: from people who are in the same phase of
: this process as I am... and I'd love even
: more to hear from some people who have made
: more "progress" than me, so to
: speak. I look forward to hearing some of
: your stories. I think it would really help.
