I met my GF in May 2008. We were on a 9 day residential course together. From the get-go we had an amazing connection, shared so many passions and thoughts about life, raising kids, food, faith, education - you name it - we shared it that week. At the end of the week i texted her during the last lecture to say that she had been such a beautiful gift of friendship to me and that I hoped it would continue when we got home. She lives about an hours drive away. That night when she left to go home I kissed her goodbye - on the lips - it surprised us both. She texted me from the train later that she felt a bit in love.
We started a very intense emotional affair almost immediately. Both married, both straight (or so we thought) and both head over heels in love. The texting got very dirty very quickly and the next time we saw each other- two weeks later, we couldn't keep our hands off each other. I told my H, she didn't. It still took me a year to realise that I was gay!
Fast forward to Nov 2009, we are still together, both separated from our Hs. See each other most weeks for one or two nights, and are more in love than ever. We dream of living together one day but there are so many obstacles including jobs, geography and the fact that she is finding it hard to come out to family and friends and introduce me as her partner.
I love her more than I ever imagined was possible, and I want to spend the rest of my life with this woman. I feel happier with her than I have ever been in my entire life.
