I posted yesterday our circumstances. I have 3 children. One is in college and one is a senior. My GF has coached them both in high school soccer including this season that just ended. They are all very close, because they have known her as my best friend for 7 years. She and I decided for E's senior year, we should wait it out, so she doesn't associate pain from the D and her senior year. Also, my GF wants to continue to coach and worried about the impact on my girls...didn't want a scandal. We live in the Bible belt as they say and wanted to plan a way to make it as painless as possible for them. In the process, it has caused us terrible pain. We are just trying to make it 7 more months. I took the leap and told my husband. He is furious but a great father. He will help to keep things as smoothe also but want's E to graduate. I have a 10 year old son. He adores my GF, if we can just make it a little further. Just want to know if there are other couples like us..with the same struggles.
