The only thing alcohol ever did for me was give me the courage to do things I later regretted. That's not much of a recommendation. I think alcohol tends to fuel poor judgement. And I think you're worried about it, and I think it's a good thing to share that with people. The thing that helps me through my problems these days isn't alcohol. It's talking to people who have been there, and who have faced the challenges I am facing now and found a way through. I'm not knocking alcohol in general. It can be a wonderful thing. But it's dangerous. And it's especially dangerous when you are emotionally vulnerable. Listen to your intuition, KatyD. It's trying to tell you something. It's trying to tell you something helpful, too.
