I have seen that in so many posts on this board -
That question gives me great strength - and BJ, I bet you hear that loud and clear too -
what a powerful yet simple question for us Mom's....the answer is equally simple - i would ONLY and ALWAYS want my children to live freely and happily and know that they can come to me with ANYTHING.
While it IS a bit different with children in that it is OUR roll, not theirs, to protect them - the lesson learned by not living YOUR truth - is one I feel so strongly about teaching my kids.I cannot BEAR to think about the lie I am living alongside them everyday - (that is one of the things that tears away at me - day and night...) We are so close - alwasy have been - the truth has been a foundation of our realtionships with each other - so - this - ME - living with such a HUGE secret that I keep from them - goes completely against who I have always been as their mom - and as a person.
Teach them BJ - teach them to stand for WHO they are - always....just as you are.

: bj, there is no greater gift you can give your
: children than YOURSELF, just as you are.
:
: Certainly there will be some difficult times
: ahead, but in the long run, they will thank
: you for being yourself, and being honest.
: Living a lie in front of your children
: teaches them to live a lie......so think of
: it this way: if one of your children were in
: your situation, what would you want for
: them? You are teaching them to be true to
: themselves.
:
: Keep moving forward, and know that all the
: changes will be assimilated into their lives
: in time, and you will all be just fine.
