sasha--earnest question

Please take this question in the spirit in which it is asked--which is to get a better handle on what people find offensive here.

I recall you expressing your discomfort/distaste for a recent thread discussing bisexuality. I don't think I read every post in the thread, but I do believe that none of the posts I did read were directed at you or mentioned you, by name or otherwise. So at least in the portion of the thread I read, there was no attack on you personally. At least not as I understand the term "personal attack".

What I would like to understand is whether you see it differently? Did you take that thread as a personal attack because it was about bisexuality and you are bisexual? If bisexuality is discussed by non-bisexuals, do you see that as amounting to a personal attack on you?
