"Withholding potentially transformative information (including opinions) from people is a form of abuse" Only if they ask or want that information. Otherwise, it becomes stuffing it down women's throats. And we've both been here long enough to know the difference. Let's not kid ourselves.
What you have to offer is indeed a benefit of this board and you and I both know I've always supported your contributions. I think you are feeling bruised because you are making huge efforts to take a different approach, and have become more respectful of the process, I've always championed your voice, so not going to hash it out with you. If you're not guilty, you shouldn't feel burdened by my post. You in fact, were the better person yesterday, fully admit it.
Me? I am guilty of not adding to the board yesterday only taking away from it. Right or wrongly.
I apologize for quoting you in my post it has been noted.
10-7 Have a good weekend folks. My hands have been restricted to my entertainment chores...ask my GF. LOL!

: I also find it hard to be an idle by-stander
: watching/reading what happens to women here,
: under the guise of "if they don't
: actually
: KNOW and HEAR FROM and have dialog with
: anyone IN the LGBTQ community."
:
: The COMPLETE quote was, "How the heck
: are they supposed to 'go through the natural
: process of questioning and learning what's
: right for their own lives' -- which could
: include becoming members of the LGBT
: community -- if they don't actually KNOW and
: HEAR FROM and have dialog with anyone IN the
: LGBT community?"
:
: I would appreciate you using your own words
: to convey your point next time, RD.
:
: My concerns are valid and sincere. To
: insulate women who are exploring the
: possibility that they're "not
: straight" from the larger LGBT
: community, its dynamics, its benefits, its
: issues (for good or ill) is NOT helpful or
: respectful of their process.

: Withholding potentially transformative
