This happened to me a few years ago. Somehow my friend's friend saw my gf and I walking downtown. She told her friend and outed me, not very many people knew. Out of the blue my friend called me and said she needed to have a glass of wine with me some time, there was a sense of urgency, but couldn't figure it out.
When we did meet, she was red in the face and could barely get it out. She admitted that she knew about me and my gf and then started asking all sorts of questions and then finally said, I think I am gay.
For the next 6 months I tried to be there for her as she dealt with her kids, her H, her new gf, her new lifestyle, etc.
She is now in a very happy relationship living with her gf and 2 girls. I was glad I could help her.
