My reaction pretty much reflects what others have said.
As Ayzika says - get yourself a lawyer. Tactically, dealing with the divorce has high priority.
Beyond that, then HELLOOOOO Mr "I'm Not Abusive" - I left because you're abusive including controlling me. Divorce means you don't get to do that any more.
Finally, it's pretty sad that he wants the right to purvey hate to his children, and doesn't want the truth to make it to their tender little ears. Yup, it's hard to hate (take your pick - Muslims, homos, Canadians, Democrats...) when you don't know any.
