I am so sorry the one you thought was it - is not. Anyone who leaves and leaves behind "children" was most certainly not the one for you. However, I am sorry you have to face the sorrow and sadness of loosing your GF.
I am the MGF but quite feeling like the single GF as I do not have children and my H and I have accepted that our "couple" part of our marriage is over. So in essence I am free to love and live (when I can) with my beautiful GF.
Now let me say this! - I am sure that I am not the only woman in the world that wanted children with all her heart and life circumstance left me both barren and without the soul of another to care and love.
I love that my GF has wonderful children, although they may be older I love everything about how she is with her children. She is everything I would ever want to be as a "mother" when I see how she lights up from the inside out. The warmth that literally glows from her when she speaks of her children to me. One of the most endearing and heartfelt moments was spending a very special day with her and her children.
I know I am not alone in the world! There are many of us that must walk our life without that incredible miracle and outright privilege of caring and loving children.
Although I have spent most of my life involved in amateur sport for youth, my purpose in life was as I have always felt to have children. The feeling and deep seeded longing has always been there.
One of my truly blessed consequences of my awakening to my lesbianism is falling in love with a remarkable woman with two very gifted and bright young adolescents.
I am most grateful for any and all time I am able to be apart of their lives. Time will tell my future But for now I am so pleased that my GF shares her life and her children's lives with me the best way she can in our circumstance.
So xgirl - do not give up hope. There will be that special woman, who would never think twice about loving you and your children as one! Never settle for someone who does not love your children as much as you!
