None of that is why I don't think Moon Knight is a good fit for the current team. It just doesn't help. If MK was on the team, I might be able to put up with Deadpool being there but, honestly, I think I'd only be buying the book to keep up with my Moon Knight collection at that point and I'd likely skip past reading any panel that didn't feature MK.

: I don't think the T-bolts would be a good
: fit
: for Moon Knight at all, especially this
: version of the team. By and large, the new
: team is made up of the sort of people Marc
: has been trying to distance himself from
: since he gave up the mercenary gig;
: murderers, terrorists, psychopaths and hired
: killers. Flash Thomspson gets a pass but
: the symbiote's still a killer and wouldn't
: be on this team if it wasn't under sedation.
:
:
: I think the point of the new book isnt that
: the characters are a perfect fit for the
: team, more that the team needs those kinds
: of characters. Frank Castle isnt a fit for
: any team, nor are Elektra or Deadpool really
: - but they have the skills that Ross needs,
: so theyre in by hook or by crook.
:
: This team seems to have something in common
: with the old Secret Defenders title - a
: rotating roster of characters with the right
: skills for the job at hand. In that respect
: Moonknight is the perfect fit. He might not
: like it, but he's still a perfect fit for
: Ross.
:
:
: The T-Bolts was always a team for villains
: turning face, and Moon Knight's been on the
: side of the angels for a long time now.
: Hawkeye and Luke Cage hadn't been criminals
: for a long time when they joined, but they
: were team leaders. I don't see Marc wanting
: to babysit a bunch of cons no matter who's
: on the team.
:
:
: Marc might be a hero but he understands the
: necessity of doing certain unpleasant things
: better than most heroes. He's not against
: physically punishing villains or even
: killing them under certain circumstances,
: and I expect that if Ross came calling then
: he would either be able to pursuade Spector
: with some sound reasoning as to why he
: should help the team or otherwise compel him
: to do so.
:
: When you talk about characters who wouldnt
: fit the team then we have to look at the
: likes of Cap and Spidey - they clearly
: wouldnt fit - but the likes of Moonknight
: would slot in quite well in terms of both
: personality and skill.
:
:
: Also, I've heard the new book kind of sucks.
:
:
: Then youve not read it? Personally I thought
: it was a very good first issue, and the
: title has more in common with the old Marvel
: Knights team (anti-heroes rather than
: repentant villains) than it does with the
: traditional Thunderbolts concept.
:
: I expect that Dark Avengers will be taking
: over the mantle of what Thunderbolts used to
: represent and that Thunderbolts will
: essentially become a Marvel Universe
: equivalent of Uncanny X-Force.
:
: Misty Knight's recent incarnation of Heroes
: for Hire was probably the perfect sort of
: team for Moon Knight because it let him
: operate independently in conjuction with
: other heroes. In concept, Secret Avengers
: was a good team for MK for the same reason,
: but that book lacked all kinds of direction
: and he barely ever got a chance to shine.
: The same thing would happen if he was on the
: current T-bolts team. He doesn't bring
: anything to the table Punisher, Deadpool and
: Elektra can't already provide. He'd just
: end up standing around in the background
: until he just vanished from the roster
: without an explanation as to why.
:
:
: He's got more of what this kind of team
: needs with his stealth skills, hand to hand
: fighting techniques and training as a Marine
: and mercenary.
